Job action at UBC Vancouver campus has ended

Following a tentative agreement with CUPE 116 on Sunday Oct. 21, job action has ended and UBC Vancouver campus services are operating as normal.

Summary of labour negotiations at UBC

CUPE 2950’s collective agreement with the university for the period April 1, 2010, through March 31, 2014, has been ratified by their membership.

CUPE 116 is preparing to ratify the tentative collective agreement for the period April 1, 2010, through March 31, 2014 with their membership.

CUPE 2278, which represents teaching assistants and non-credit instructors in the English Language Institute, is in mediation with the university.

The university is in negotiations with the Faculty Association, AAPS, and BCGEU (Vancouver – child care).
