After 34 hours of mediation, the University of British Columbia and CUPE 116 reached a tentative agreement Sunday night.
Union picket lines went down last night and striking members are back at work. Campus services that had been affected by job action are expected to resume normal levels today.

CUPE 116 represents more than 2000 employees in trades, food services, student housing, parking, research labs and more. A ratification vote by union members is expected later this month.
CUPE 2278, representing teaching assistants, is in mediation. CUPE 2950 and the University have now ratified a deal.
