Limited job action continues with pickets at USB, Campus and Community Planning and the Power House.
The entrance to the Caribou Daycare housed in the USB is not being picketed and is operating as normal.
Essential services are in place at the Power House and no service disruptions are expected.
The Campus Mail service and the Municipal Crew, which affects landscaping, waste management, moving and recycling crews, continue to be withdrawn. An overtime ban for members remains in place.
The university remains open, with the continued provision of classes, labs and exams as well as other services. Faculty and staff who are not engaged in job action are expected to report for work.
CUPE 116 represents more than 2000 employees in trades, food services, student housing, parking, research labs and more.CUPE Local 2278, representing teaching assistants, is in mediation with UBC. CUPE 2950 and the University have reached a tentative deal.

There will be no Campus Mail service until further notice. To pick up mail delivered before service was withdrawn on Oct. 17, go to Campus Mail (2329 West Mall) before 11 a.m. today.
