CUPE 2278, representing teaching assistants and non-credit instructors at the English Language Institute have reaffirmed their position in favour of job action.
They informed the university Oct. 25 that they would be asking the Labour Relations Board to end mediation and would then serve 72 hours strike notice.
Please note: If the union chooses to engage in job action, that action may commence any time after the 72 hours notice period has expired.
