Limited job action continues over the weekend. Custodial workers continue to be withdrawn. CUPE 116 members remain working to an overtime ban.
The university remains open, with the continued provision of classes, labs and exams as well as other services. Faculty andstaff who are not engaged in job action are expected to report for work.
CUPE 116 represents more than 2000 employees in trades, food services, student housing, parking, research labs and more. CUPE Local 2278, representing teaching assistants, is in mediation with UBC. CUPE 2950 and the University have now ratified a deal.
Services Affected
There will be no Campus Mail or custodial service until further notice.
