CUPE 116 members continue limited job action today October 10. The university remains open, with the continued provision of classes, labs and exams as well as other services. Faculty and staff who are not engaged in job action are expected to report for work.
CUPE 116 represents more than 2000 employees in trades, food services, student housing, parking, research labs and more. Other CUPE locals representing mostly teaching assistants and secretarial staff and Library Assistants are still in bargaining with UBC.

Services affected
The UBC Bookstore at Point Grey will be open from 1:30-3:30 p.m. today. The Bookstore Cafe will remain closed for the day. UBC Bookstore Robson Square remains open. Sauder School of Business Bookstore is closed.
The parking office will be closed for the day. Parking regulations continue to be enforced.
